The sound of Singapore.
Singaporeana – Our Sound, Our Stories is a celebration of the nation’s rich cultural tapestry, told through music that bridges heritage and modern expression, presented by Jazz Association (Singapore).
Jazz serves as the unifying art form of the evening, where melodies, rhythms, and languages intersect, allowing different musical traditions to converse and evolve together. From familiar cultural motifs to bold improvisations, the music transforms individual narratives into a shared sonic experience.
By weaving together varied influences into a uniquely Singaporean sound, the performance invites the audience to listen deeply and recognise the beauty of unity through music. Rooted in lived experiences and diverse traditions, this evening will symbolise a collective identity through the many ways Singaporeans see, feel, and understand home.
