About the festival

Launched in 2017, the Lion City Jazz Festival (LCJF) was created to give young local musicians a real stage to grow and elevate their jazz journey. It’s where fresh talent meets serious artistry – welcoming new musicians into Singapore’s vibrant jazz scene and building a community that’s bold, creative, and constantly evolving!

This year, LCJF 2026 returns bigger and more spectacular than ever. Running from 28 February - 28 March 2026, the month-long festival brings together masterclasses, an appreciation talk, a family-friendly jazz musical, and electrifying concerts – all designed to inspire musicians and audiences alike!

From Jazz for Kids presented with ACT 3 Theatrics, to masterclasses and concerts hosted by our partners – Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre, Gateway Theatre Singapore, *SCAPE, and CYL Music Studio, there’s something for everyone of all ages to experience and enjoy!

The festival culminates in the spectacular Finale Concert, “The Brecker Brothers & Beyond,” featuring international chief mentors 7-time Grammy Award winner Randy Brecker (US) and acclaimed saxophonist Ada Rovatti (US), performing alongside world-class mentors and outstanding young musicians from JASSYO!

Audiences can also look forward to a uniquely Singaporean concert spotlighting beloved local artists including Sezairi, Joanna Dong, Alemay Fernandez, weish, Dru Chen, Sushma Soma, Tim De Cotta, and Namie Rasman – reimagining familiar favourites with bold jazz interpretations!
